GIF imports don't register?

I've attempted to import GIF files into my scene but no image appears (neither VR nor AR mode works) and under the image settings section, it says 'No file loaded', despite my multiple attempts to import a GIF.

I'm using the demo version of BuildAR Pro 2.2.1.

This is a noted bug and will be fixed in the next update.
